JAMB RESULT VALIDITY EXTENDED, "THREE YEARS"



The 13th day of October 2016 The Nigeria Senate passed an amendment to JAMB act into law. which states thus:
The Board should allow results of students to be valid for more than a year. any examination conducted by the board pursuant to the powers confered by Act "Validity of 6:'6 (i)" shall be valid for a period of three academic years from the date of the examination.

its hereby indicated that JAMB result will no longer expire at the end of every year, and the results in now valid for more than a year.

The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Tertiary Education and TETFund, Sen. Jibrin Barau, noted that the amendments will further strengthen the Admissions Board in its responsibilities.

Senate President Bukola Saraki, appreciated his distinguished colleagues for their work towards the passage of the bill commended that the new amendments will indeed bring financial relief to students as well as parents and reduce bottlenecks and corruption in the admission process.
